Since 1993 Joy and I have  lived in Falmouth, where Joy designed and managed the construction of 2 homes.

Our son was in the Falmouth school system from 1998 through 2009.

• Woodlands Homes and Villas Road Cost Sharing Committee, Past Chair – responsible for infrastructure and common element maintenance for 165 homes and villas, managed 2 ½ mile road paving project in 2003

Transferable Management and School Law Experience

• Labor counsel supporting management negotiation of collective bargaining agreements
• Handled labor arbitrations
• Defended employee discrimination claims including jury trials
• Drafted handbooks and personnel policies
• Provided legal support and guidance for reductions in force
• Handled school law and special education matters for students and families including expulsion hearings, disciplinary proceedings, manifestation of disability determinations, IEPs, bullying investigations, out of district placements, superintendent transfers, reentry plans, and academic integrity matters.

Transferable Construction Law Experience

• Handled construction disputes including AIA arbitrations for owners and contractors
• Managed lien claims and waivers
• Project manager on multiple association and community projects
• Fall  2023 replaced the Underwood Beach ramp (see photo above), designing a survey eliciting contributions from 60 neighbors to fund project
